The Wind Creek Wedding

Bethea - Harrison

The barn was decorated with lighted lanterns, hay bales, straw, and flowers.  A guitarist provided the music for the wedding.  White folding chairs were provided for the overflow of friends that attended the wedding.

The October afternoon was chilly, but no one seemed to mind.  Under the barn porch was Kelly’s grandmother’s antique wagon, which held handmade cheese straws for the guests to munch on. In the yard by a old Oak Tree was her grandmother’s small coal wrought iron stove with apple cider brewing, which took the chill away.  The groom, Don, and most of his family arrived from Salt Lake City, Utah.  They all enjoyed the good ole’ southern hospitality.

The reception was held in the backyard by a large pond where ducks and their babies frolicked in the water.  A wooden dance floor was laid for dancing to music provided by a bluegrass band.  Kelly and Don teamed together to sing “Sweet Home Alabama”, and the band played several of their favorite songs.  The eating of the wonderful refreshments of wedding cake, grooms cake, BBQ meal, wine, beer, soft drinks, bottled water, sangria's, and more was thoroughly enjoyed by all.  This kept everyone’s energy level going for more than four hours of laughter, dancing, and entertaining.

Don and Kelly now reside in the Salt Lake City area.  We wish them continued happiness, joy, friendship, laughter, and a love that will continue to grow for the rest of their lives.

Congratulations to Don & Kelly
